I've been in Florida for...10 days now. The weather is GORGEOUS and I've loved being here so far, even though I've gotten a little homesick from time to time. There really is a lot to do here and I'm excited for the chance to get out and explore a little bit nearly every day! I went to the family ward in Sanford on Sunday and while it was great and the people were really nice, it wasn't what I was looking for...so this week, amid everything else I've been trying to accomplish, I've been able to get in touch with some of the people in the College Park singles ward that meets in Orlando and will be attending there from now on. I'm excited to meet some new friends, for sure!
I started reading the Book of Mormon on Tuesday, as the start of the March Madness Book of Mormon Reading Challenge that's issued every year by our institute teacher in Charlottesville...I've already seen some blessings come from that and hope there are more to come! I love the Book of Mormon and I feel so blessed and humbled to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...particularly for the fact that I have a "family" wherever in the world I go...I'm especially grateful for that now, as I'm far away from my family in Charlottesville.
That's all I've got for right now...it's late and I should go to bed...I'll update more later!
